These okvm KVM Development kits included: one okvm PCI KVM Adapter card the okvm KVM over IP software source code the source information needed to manufacture the okvm PCI KVM Adapter card (circuit diagrams, BOM,PCD layout etc) A number of the KVM PCI cards were produced – sponsored by Opengear. However this project did not find traction in the developer community. So kits are no longer available and development in this branch of the project has stopped. Also Opengear now sells a proprietary KVM over IP solution!

  • TCP Port Scanner in Bash – good coders code, great reuse – I just had this quick idea to write a tcp port scanner in bash. Bash supports the special /dev/tcp/host/port file that you can read/write. Writing to this special file makes bash open a tcp connection to host:port. If writing to the port succeeds, the port is open, else the port is closed.

  • Mappare stampanti di rete con VBScript – Problematica semplice: una stampante di rete nuova, diversi PC che devono poterla utilizzare, non c’è kix che può aiutarmi ma c’è Active Directory con il suo Netlogon sempre valido. Dato che spiegare agli utenti come mapparsi una stampante potrebbe diventare una delle missioni più difficili di questo mondo e data l’urgenza della cosa, un piccolo trucco in VBScript può venire in soccorso per mappare tutto ciò che desideriamo in pochissimi secondi.
